Justine McMahon

My first experienced of yoga was in 2012. During the class, I experienced my edges, I was challenged and it brought awareness to parts of my body that I didn’t even realise existed! Once the class had finished I noticed a lightness of body, my mind was clear and my whole being felt calm. I now understand this as the magic and promise of yoga.

My practice was initially focused on the physical aspects. As a Bodyworker anatomy and alignment was what interested me. I was becoming stronger and my tissues were opening and lengthening. As my body was finding more balance and harmony so was my attitude.

Between 2014 and 2016 I completed two Teacher Training programs in Hatha Vinyasa and later with a deeper exploration into Tantric yoga practices. In 2017 I studied Yin Yoga for and this along with the teachings of the Buddha have become a passion of mine.

It’s my intention to share these teachings along with the teachings of yoga with my students so they may cultivate more steadiness of mind and compassion for themselves and others in their lives. The practice of yoga has been a space that’s has allowed me to experience my truest essence. It’s a practice of dis-identifying from the voice in the head and resting in peace ~ as peace. I feel humbled, passionate and excited about sharing these teachings and I look forward to seeing you on the mat.
